Spring/Summer 2013 makeup trends:

*Healthy and Glowey :

There is Nothing more beautiful  than a fresh glowing face, a lot of the makeup artists focused on the middle area of the face and fade the light foundation through the rest of the face, a nice trick is applying two or three fading blushes such as a light pink then a peachy then a light golden shade, giving your blush an ombré effect.

use a BB cream or a Tinted moisturizer instead your normal foundation, it's a healthier substitute for your skin. Most BB (beauty balm) creams contain an SPF, moisturizer and much more.

Recommendation: (Revlon Photo Ready BB cream, Rimmle 9 in 1 BB cream, Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, Smash box camera ready BB cream)

*50 shades of RED:

One of my BEST lip colors ever there are different shade of red either having a blue or yellowish orange undertones...

*Black liner:

A thick and retro look is a spring trend (to me it's a year long must) but having a cat eye with no dramatic eye shadow is perfect.

*Recommendation: if you are a beginner or don't know how to use the eyeliner it's better to start with a gel liner the BEST is Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is great even better than MAC's black track.

*Stacking the lashes:

Take out your lashes dolls....it's the season where you can stack two,three or whatever you eye desires...so many makeup artists stacked the models on the runways  with plenty of lashes...

*Recommendation:

Ardell's Douple up, it's a new addition to this amazing brand and it suits perfectly with the spring trend.

*Bold framing: (thick eyebrows)

Getting the brooke shields look...keep 'em growing the effortless it looks the better!!

*Eyeing the sea:

Adding a pop of Aqua or blue shades on you eyes, water line or the lash lines...it screams SPRING IS HERE !!!  So many models have been rocking this look. A pop of blue compliments any skin shade or eye color

Recommendation: to keep the color lasting longer if you are using a pencil or cream line, top that with a shadow that has an exact or similar color.

*Popsicle NEONS:

Finally, what is spring if there aren't any neons!?  Make your lips brighten your day with a hot or bright color.

Recommendation: I AM IN LOVE with the Maybelline Vivid lipsticks  they are amazing the color payoff , creaminess and long lasting. 

Shiny healthy skin

Every girl wants that shiny healthy skin but always thinks that it's too hard to get or her skin type just doesn't approve, well I'm going to tell you a routine which i find AMAZING and it is simply Scrubbing, Good quality loofa, and Moisturize.

Scrubs:

I found some products which are effective and I'm simply in love with.

1. Ocean Salt from LUSH:

    This does wonders! it's an amazing scrub and it's gentle on the face as well, from the first use I saw a difference it's like it took a whole layer of dead skin i used it 3 times a week, although what i don't like about it that it tends to get really soggy when i was half way through the product.

2. Yoko Body Scrub:

Ok first of all i don't know from where can you find it I usually find it in my local supermarket, and i found this by coincidence, and its a prefect alternative with the Lush scrub it's way cheaper, but what i like about it is i can use it on a daily basis it gentle on my skin and my body smells like vanilla. The bad  thing about it that it runs out fast!

3. Strawberry Body Shop Scrub:

   I guess this is the most famous scrub which i find useless honestly all it does it gives my body a very rich smell of strawberry and i think if your going to buy this scrub you should buy the full set for a better set of fragrance.

   There are so much scrubs out there but i haven't tried everything yet, but there are scrubs i want to try like The breakfast scrub from Soap& Glory, also ST. Ives Apricot scrub, and finally a Laura Mercier scrub.

Loofa:

   Ok now we are done from the scrub we go to loofa there are two kinds of loofa 

This kind................. I'm trying to use gentle words to describe this loaf but NO, NO and NO all it does is tickle your body and it smells bad and collects bacteria if you have this loofa in your shower please do yourself a favor and get rid of it.

Then we have this kind which is a Moroccan loofa. Oh my oh my now this is what i call a loofa

it's rough in a good way i use it everyday and it doesn't scratch my body or hard, and when i feel that the loofa is becoming too soft i know it's time to get rid of it and buy me a new one.

Moisturizer:

moisturizer is a moisturizer they all do the same job but the deference between a good one and the one you should stay away from is how long will it keep your body moisturized, I advise you to choose the heavy creamy ones like Vaseline coco butter, or butter creams but some are allergic to it, but what i use is the Johnson's baby oil gel  which i am very happy with it keeps my body soft and shiny and of course moisturized until my next shower i highly recommend it!

Spring Fashion!

Spring is a couple of weeks ahead, and its almost time to pack all those chunky sweaters and thick scarfs back in the winter box...and time to replace them with some of the NEW Spring/Summer trend pieces.

Black and White:

One of the most repeated trend in the runways this upcoming season is Black and white, either together or solid..it's unlike the "spring" theme, usually it's all pastels, floral, or even bright cheerful colors. This time most of the designers twist the color wheel. You can never go wrong with black nor white it's considered "fashion's best friend". If you don't want to wear one color you can put the two together or choose a STRIPED outfit which is considered another trend for the Spring as seen in most of the runways and designers incorporated it in their collections. It could be black and white, red and white and much more solid colors.

Neons:

Aside from the black and white and stripes, things were Popping!. Neons were a big hit on the runway and designers like Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Roberto Cavali and much more had either neon outfits,accessories, shoes and other basic pieces.

Body peeking:

As I like to name them, having some of the body parts peeking either through a sheer fabric, lace parts or cut outs. It's so flattering and sexy where less is more to have a small part of the chest area,waist, legs or other flattering parts.

Leather and shorts:

Two different and sedate trends, designers used leather in some of their pieces either in for example in jackets or pants.

Bermuda Shorts is great because it almost fits every body shape and compliments them.

This is a brief list of the most highlighted trends of the 2013 Spring/Summer trends there will be much more of runway and fashion weeks to come in near future.
